NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Texas Motor Speedway … This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ 11thNASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile track. The organization earned a team best finish of third-place at the Fort Worth, Texas-facility with Joe Nemechek on June 6, 2014. Ten starts at the Texas Motor Speedway have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 15.5 and an average finish of 14.5.

 

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 143 starts from six drivers, resulting in strong performances that include seven victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, Gateway, Iowa, and Martinsville) and 31 top-five finishes, as well as 63 top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 14.3 and an average finishing position of 14.3.

 

Collective NEMCO Motorsports …In the season’s first seven events, NEMCO Motorsports’ two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have one victory (Martinsville with John Hunter Nemechek), three top-five and five top-10 finishes. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 1,247 total laps. Joe Nemechek and John Hunter Nemechek rank 18thand 53rdrespectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Driver points.

 

All in the Family… John Hunter Nemechek has had five Texas Motor Speedway appearances in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 14.6 and an average finishing position of 15.2, as well as one top-10 finish at the 1.5-mile track. John Hunter Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on November 6, 2015.

 

Race Rewind: Texas Motor Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 ROMCO Equipment Co., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished 21stin the WinstarOnlineGaming.com 400NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 9, 2017 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. After starting in the eighth-position in the 28-truck field, Nemechek finished Stage 1, on Lap 40, in the fifth position, and Stage 2 on Lap 80 in the fourth position. On Lap 138 Nemechek was involved in an incident and his Chevrolet Silverado sustained enough damage in the incident to send it to the garage.

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Texas Motor Speedway …Joe Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 040 in the PPG 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway on March 2.

 

Welcome ROMCO Equipment Co. … The NEMCO Motorsports No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado returns to the Texas Motor Speedway with ROMCO Equipment Co. as the primary sponsor, part of a continued relationship with NEMCO Motorsports and driver Joe Nemechek. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, ROMCO Equipment Co. has had associate-partner and primary placement on the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado during the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. The family-owned operation first partnered with the family-owned NEMCO Motorsports at the Texas Motor Speedway in November 2016.

“Deep in the Heart of Texas” … This weekend marks Joe Nemechek’s fifth Texas Motor Speedway appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Lakeland, Fla., driver has earned an average starting position of 13.0 and an average finishing position of 12.0 at the 1.5-mile track. Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on June 6, 2014.

 

Joe Nemechek has found success in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) at the Texas Motor Speedway with one victory (2003), four top-five and five top-10 finishes in 19 starts. In 23 starts at the Texas Motor Speedway, Nemechek, is credited with one top-five finish and one top-10 finish in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS). In addition, Nemechek has four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the Texas Motor Speedway, all resulting in top-ten finishes, including a third-place finish in 2014.

 

Speedway Stats … In 28 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Joe Nemechek has recorded one top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 41 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.

 

Season-to-date … Through the first seven NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2018 season, Joe Nemechek has completed 494 of 745 laps contested (66.3 percent), and is currently 18thin the driver point standings, and the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado is 9thin the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points.
