NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Iowa Speedway … This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ sixth and seventh respective NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the 7/8-mile asphalt tri-oval. The organization earned a team best finish of a victory at the Newton, Iowa,-facility with John Hunter Nemechek on June 23, 2017. Five starts at the Iowa Speedway have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 9.0 and an average finish of 15.4.

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 144 starts from six drivers, resulting in strong performances that include seven victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, Gateway, Iowa, and Martinsville) and 31 top-five finishes as well as 63 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 14.3 and an average finishing position of 14.3.

Collective NEMCO Motorsports … In the first eight events of the season, NEMCO Motorsports’ two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have one victory (Martinsville with John Hunter Nemechek), three top-five and five top-10 finishes. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 1,412 total laps. Joe Nemechek and John Hunter Nemechek rank 18th and 54th respectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Driver points.

Double the Fun … For the first time since May 11, at the Kansas Speedway, NEMCO Motorsports will race with two Chevrolet Silverado entries ar the M&M’s 200 presented by Casey’s General Store, with Joe Nemechek and John Hunter Nemechek.

All in the Family … Team owner Joe Nemechek has one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start and five NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts at the Iowa Speedway.

Hot Laps … John Hunter Nemechek will be accessible to media in attendance at the Iowa Speedway on Saturday, June 16 at 12:30 p.m. (CT) to 1:00 p.m. (CT) in pace car rides presented by NASCAR.

Catch the Action … The M&M’s 200 presented by Casey’s General Store will be broadcast live on FS1 on Saturday, June 16 starting with NASCAR RaceDay: NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at 6:30 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 6:30 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the ninth event of the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will air on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (ET) on FS2. In addition, the practice session on Saturday will be televised live on FS1 at 9:30 a.m. (ET) and final practice for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at 11:00 a.m. (ET) on FS2.

The M&M’s 200 presented by Casey’s General Store at the Iowa Speedway will re-air on Sunday, June 17 at 6:00 a.m. (ET) on FS1.

No. 8 NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Iowa Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 042 in the M&Ms 200 presented by Casey’s General Stores at the Iowa Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team was victorious in the 2017 edition at the Iowa Speedway with Chassis No. 42.

Iowa: Fields of Opportunity … This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s fifth Iowa Speedway appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 5.5 and an average finishing position of 11.5 at the 7/8-mile track, with a total of 59 laps led. He captured his career first 21 Means 21 Pole Award on June 18, 2016 at the Iowa Speedway. Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on July 11, 2014.

Double-Duty … In the first leg of his first double-duty weekend, John Hunter Nemechek will return to wheel of a NEMCO Motorsports entry, and then will proceed to his NASCAR Xfinity Series effort for Chip Ganassi Racing. This weekend will be a career-first back-to-back NASCAR event for Nemechek.

Short Track Stats … In 18 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded two victories (Iowa, Martinsville), seven top-five and 10 top-10 finishes, with an average starting spot of 11.8 and an average finish of 11.2 on these racetracks.

Race Rewind: Iowa Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, scored his second consecutive victory of the season in the M&M’s 200 presented by Casey’s General Stores NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 23, 2017 at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa.  Nemechek started from the fifth position, finishing Stage 1 in the seventh-place. At the Stage 2 conclusion, Lap 120, Nemechek finished in the third position, gaining valuable playoff points. Nemechek maneuvered himself past the reigning NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion with six laps remaining following a late-race caution to win his second race of the 2017 season. The win was Nemechek’s fifth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory and his first at the Iowa Speedway.

Season-to-date … Through the first eight NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2018 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 753 of 785 laps contested (95.9 percent), has led 65 laps in five starts. Nemechek is currently 54th in the driver point standings, and the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado is 11th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected one win (Martinsville), two top-five and three top-10 finishes, has spent 625 laps running in the top 15 and has made 250 green-flag passes thus far this season.
