NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Iowa Speedway … This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 7/8-mile asphalt tri-oval. The organization earned a team best finish of 10th-place at the Newton, Iowa,-facility with John Hunter Nemechek on July 11, 2014. Three starts at the Iowa Speedway have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 5.7 and an average finish of 15.0.

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 105 starts from five drivers, resulting in strong performances that include five victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, and Gateway) and 23 top-five finishes, as well as 50 top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 14.0 and an average finishing position of 12.8.

Collective NEMCO Motorsports … In the season’s first eight events, NEMCO Motorsports’ two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have posted one victory (Gateway), four top-five and four top-10 finishes. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 1,572 total laps – leading laps. John Hunter Nemechek and Joe Nemechek rank 9th and 23rd respectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver points.

All in the Family … Team owner Joe Nemechek has five NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) starts at the Iowa Speedway.

Meet John Hunter Nemechek … John Hunter Nemechek is scheduled to participate in an autograph session with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. (CT) on Friday, June 23. The autograph session will be located under the grandstands of the Iowa Speedway towards Turn 4.

Catch the Action … The M&Ms 200 presented by Casey’s General Stores will be broadcast live on FS1 on Friday, June 23 starting with the pre-race show at 8:00 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. In addition, the practice sessions on Friday will be televised live on FS1 at 10:00 a.m. (ET), and final practice for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at 12:00 p.m. (ET).

No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Iowa Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 042 in the M&Ms 200 presented by Casey’s General Stores at the Iowa Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Gateway Motorsports Park on Saturday, June 17, where they finished in the first-place after starting in the second-place. In the chassis’ eight collective starts at the Gateway Motorsports Park, Iowa Speedway, Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway, and the New Hampshire Motor Speedway with Nemechek, the chassis has an average finishing position of 7.87.

Sound the Alarm … The NEMCO Motorsports No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado returns with the Fire Alarm Services, Inc., (FAS) brand as the primary sponsor at the Iowa Speedway. As part of the 2017 partnership agreement, the NEMCO Motorsports No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado will carry the Fire Alarm Services, Inc., brand as the primary sponsor for seven NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events. On June 20, Fire Alarm Services, Inc., agreed to extend the partnership with NEMCO Motorsports for an additional three events with Nemechek. Headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, Fire Alarm Services, Inc., provides superior fire and life safety and security services and products for protecting their client’s real estate investment.

Iowa: Fields of Opportunity … This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s fourth Iowa Speedway appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 5.7 and an average finishing position of 15.0 at the 7/8-mile track with a total of 53 laps led. He captured his career first 21 Means 21 Pole Award on June 18, 2016 at the Iowa Speedway. Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on July 11, 2014.

Short Track Stats: In 14 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded four top-five and seven top-10 finishes, with an average starting spot of 12.0 and an average finish of 11.9 on these racetracks.

Race Rewind: Iowa Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek captured his career first 21 Means 21 Pole Award in 2016 at the Iowa Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series qualifying session, speeding around at 136.087 mph in the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado. Nemechek started at the front of the field and led early for 53 laps of the 200 event circuits. Nemechek was in strong contention for a checkered-flag capture, but the threat of a lug nut violation while pitting on Lap 150 pulled him from the second place for another return to pit road a lap later. Nemechek battled back from the 20th-place to finish 12th in the Speediatrics 200.

In the Rearview Mirror: Gateway Motorsports Park … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, was victorious in the Drivin’ for Linemen 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 17 at the Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Ill. Nemechek started from the second position and led for 39 laps en route to his first stage victory of the season. At the Stage 2 conclusion, Lap 70, Nemechek finished in the third position, gaining valuable playoff points. When the third and final yellow flag waved on Lap 149, Nemechek restarted in the third position. He took the lead with four laps remaining and pulled away to win. Nemechek led 46 laps at the Gateway Motorsports Park to his career-first victory at the 1.25-mile track, and his fourth victory in 61 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races. He became the second youngest NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver to win at the Gateway Motorsports Park at the age of 20 years and six days.

Chase for the Championship … With his win at the Gateway Motorsports Park, John Hunter Nemechek claims NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chase eligibility with a victory during the regular season. Nemechek is fourth in the Chase standings, with one win and six playoff points.

Season-to-date … Through the first eight NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2017 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 1092 of 1308 laps contested (83.5 percent), has led 46 laps and is currently 9th in the driver point standings, and 11th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected one win (Gateway), three top-five and three top-10 finishes, has spent 802 laps running in the top 15 and has made 287 green-flag passes thus far this season.
