NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Gateway Motorsports Park… This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 1.25-mile track. The organization earned a team best finish of fourth-place at the Madison, Ill.,-facility with John Hunter Nemechek on June 13, 2015. Three starts at the Gateway Motorsports Park have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 9.3 and an average finish of 8.3.

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History… Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 103 starts from five drivers, resulting in strong performances that include four victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta and Canada) and 22 top-five finishes, as well as 49 top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 14.0 and an average finishing position of 12.8.

Collective NEMCO Motorsports… In the season’s first seven events, NEMCO Motorsports’ two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have posted three top-five and three top-10 finishes. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 1,410 total laps. John Hunter Nemechek and Joe Nemechek rank 11th and 22nd respectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver points.

All in the Family… Team owner Joe Nemechek has one top-three (1999) and two top-10 finishes in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in five starts at the Gateway Motorsports Park.

Meet John Hunter Nemechek… John Hunter Nemechek is scheduled to participate in an autograph session with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, June 17. The autograph session will be located in the infield of the Gateway Motorsports Park under a tent near the scoring pylon, right outside of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series garage.

It will also broadcast live at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the eighth event of the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will air on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on FS1.

No. 8 NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Gateway Motorsports Park… John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 042 in the Drivin’ for Linemen 200 at the Gateway Motorsports Park. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway on November 11 during the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, where they finished in the sixth-place after starting in the sixth-place.  In the chassis’ seven collective starts at the Gateway Motorsports Park, Iowa Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, and the New Hampshire Motor Speedway with Nemechek, the chassis has an average finishing position of 8.8.

Locally Sourced… Toenjes Brick Contracting (TBC), a full-service masonry contracting company founded in 1996 by Dan and Lynette Toenjes, will adorn the side of the No. 8 Chevrolet driven by John Hunter Nemechek at the Gateway Motorsports Park as an associate partner. Based in Millstadt, Ill., Toenjes Brick Contracting is family-owned and operated, and includes five father and son duos who work throughout the metropolitan St. Louis area.

“You can find me in St. Louis”… This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s fourth Gateway Motorsports Park appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 9.3 and an average finishing position of 8.3 at the 1.25-mile track with a total of 53 laps led. Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on June 14, 2014.

Speedway Stats… In 32 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded two victories (Chicago and Atlanta), 10 top-five and 16 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 89 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.

Race Rewind: Gateway Motorsports Park… John Hunter Nemechek in the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports scored a sixth-place finish in the Drivin’ For Lineman 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Gateway Motorsports Park, Madison, Ill., on June 25, 2016 after cautions hindered the team’s pit strategy. Nemechek started the race from the fourth spot and quickly moved into the third position before the caution flag waved for the second time on Lap 26. After pitting for four tires, most of the field opted for two, thwarting the team’s strategy. Nemechek restarted in the 14th position, but battled through the pack to the second spot by Lap 130. A string of late-race restarts in the closing laps bunched up the field, regulating Nemechek to the sixth position before taking the checkered flag.

In the Rearview Mirror: Texas Motor Speedway… John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 ROMCO Equipment Co., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished 21st in the WinstarOnlineGaming.com 400 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 9 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. After starting in the eighth-position in the 28-truck field, Nemechek finished Stage 1, Lap 40, in the fifth position, and Stage 2, Lap 80, in the fourth position. On Lap 138, Nemechek was involved in an incident and his Chevrolet Silverado sustained enough damage in the incident to send it to the garage.

Season-to-date… Through the first seven NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2017 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 932 of 1148 laps contested (81.2 percent), has led zero laps and is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 12th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected two top-five and two top-10 finishes, has spent 642 laps running in the top 15 and has made 255 green-flag passes thus far this season.
