NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Chicagoland Speedway … This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at the Joliet, Ill., facility. The organization posted a team best finish with a victory at the track with driver John Hunter Nemechek on September 19, 2015. Three starts at the 1.5-mile track have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 14.3 and an average finish of 8.0 with two laps led.

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 117 starts from five drivers, resulting in strong performances that include six victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, Gateway, and Iowa) and 27 top-five finishes, as well as 54 top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 14.0 and an average finishing position of 13.5.

Collective NEMCO Motorsports … In the season’s first 15 events, NEMCO Motorsports’ two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have posted two victories (Gateway and Iowa), eight top-five and eight top-10 finishes. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 2,412 total laps and have lead 92 of those laps. John Hunter Nemechek and Joe Nemechek rank eighth and 27th respectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver points.

All in the Family … Team owner Joe Nemechek has two top-five and two top-10 finishes in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) in 12 starts at the Chicagoland Speedway. Additionally, Nemechek has 14 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) starts which include a top-10 finish, and he also finished in the top-10 in his single NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile, D-shaped tri-oval speedway in 2014.

Catch the Action … The Chicagoland 225 will be broadcast live on FS1 on Friday, September 15 starting with the pre-race show at 8:00 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the 16th event of the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will air Friday at 5:00 p.m. (ET) on FS1.

The Chicagoland 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway will re-air on Saturday, September 16 at 6:30 a.m. on FS1.

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Chicagoland Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 040 in the Chicagoland 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Kentucky Speedway on July 6 where Nemechek finished in the 18th-place after starting in the ninth-place in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Since 2015, Chassis No. 040 has an average finishing position of 10.5 in 10 collective starts, with two previous starts at the Chicagoland Speedway, both with Nemechek.

Cowabunga Dude! … Nickelodeon and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are, again, taking over the Chicagoland Speedway. As a showcase for the new Tales of the Turtles TV season, titled “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” which consists of seven separate serialized stories, Nemechek will feature “Undead Shredder” on the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports.

Windy City … This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s third Chicagoland Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 14.5 and an average finishing position of 7.5 at the 1.5-mile, tri-oval speedway. Nemechek collected one win (2015), one top-five and one top-10 finish, with a total of two laps led. He made his track debut on September 19, 2015.

Speedway Stats … In 34 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded three victories (Chicago, Atlanta and Gateway), 11 top-five and 17 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 155 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.

Race Rewind: Chicagoland Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 #TeamTurtle / #TeamFoot Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the 14th-position in the American Ethanol e15 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Chicagoland Speedway on September 16, 2016. Nemechek began the 151-lap race around the 1.5-mile tri-oval from the 18th-position in the 32-truck field. By Lap 20 the Mooresville, N.C., native had climbed to the ninth position while battling tight-handling conditions. Over the course of three pit stops the changes worked to Nemechek’s favor, but they weren’t quite enough to allow him to leverage the Chevrolet’s horsepower in the final laps.

In the Rearview Mirror … Canadian Tire Motorsport Park … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, scored a 20th-place finish in the Chevrolet Silverado 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Sunday, September 3, at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Nemechek started in the seventh-position in the 32-truck field, finishing Stage 1, on Lap 20, in the fourth-place, and was in the second-place by Lap 30. Following the pit stop on Lap 32, Nemechek received a pass-through penalty for speeding while exiting the pits, causing him to restart in the 18th-place. Ending the Stage 2, on Lap 40, Nemechek was scored 19th. On Lap 55 Nemechek had moved back into contention, restarting in the seventh-place, and going four-wide he received damage. Nemechek was involved in a single-truck incident which resulted in having to pit on Lap 60 to repair damage, and he was regulated to a 20th-place finish.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoffs … With his win at the Gateway Motorsports Park on June 17, John Hunter Nemechek claimed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoff eligibility with a victory during the regular season. Nemechek is second in the Playoff standings, with two wins and 11 playoff points.

Season-to-date … Through the first 15 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2017 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 1920 of 2235 laps contested (85.9 percent) and has led 92 laps. Nemechek is currently eighth in the driver point standings and 10th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected two victories (Gateway and Iowa), seven top-five and seven top-10 finishes, has spent 1,391 laps running in the top 15 and has made 428 green-flag passes thus far this season.
