NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Atlanta Motor Speedway … This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ fifth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Hampton, Ga.,-facility. The organization posted a victory with John Hunter Nemechek on February 27, 2016. Two starts at the 1.54-mile quad-oval have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 14.5 and an average finish of 16.0.

 

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 135 starts from six drivers, resulting in strong performances that include six victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, Gateway, and Iowa) and 29 top-five finishes, as well as 59 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 14.4 and an average finishing position of 14.3.

Catch the Action … The Active Pest Control 200 benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will be broadcast live on FS1 on Saturday, February 24 starting at 4:30 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 4:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the second event of the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will air on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. (ET) on FS1. In addition, the practice session on Friday, February 23 will be televised live on FS1 at 2:00 p.m. (ET) and final practice for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at 4:00 p.m. (ET).

 

The Active Pest Control 200 benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at the Atlanta Motor Speedway will re-air on Sunday, February 25 at 4:00 a.m. (ET) on FS1.

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Atlanta Motor Speedway … Joe Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 40 in the Active Pest Control 200 benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series open test at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on January 24. Since 2015, Chassis No. 040 has an average finishing position of 10.2 in 11 collective starts, all with John Hunter Nemechek.

 

Georgia on my Mind … This weekend marks Joe Nemechek’s fourth Atlanta Motor Speedway‎ appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Lakeland, Fla., driver has earned an average starting position of 12.0 and an average finishing position of 23.0. Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on October 28, 2006. Nemechek also has one win (2001), two top-five and six top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 15 starts at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, as well as 39 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts at the track, which include a second-place finish in 2002.

 

Speedway Stats … In 24 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-mile in length), Joe Nemechek has recorded one top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 41 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.

 

Race Rewind: Atlanta Motor Speedway … Joe Nemechek, driver of the No. 87 D.A.B. Constructors, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the 24th-position the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Active Pest Control 200 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 4. After starting in the 22nd place, Nemechek drove his Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports up to 21st. The right-front tire went flat, and displaying the kind of driving that made him a NASCAR XFINITY Series champion, Nemechek deftly kept his car off the wall. The trip back to pit road was a long one for the unscheduled pit stop. The pit crew worked quickly, but Nemechek returned to the track in 25th place.

 

In the Rearview Mirror: Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway … Joe Nemechek, driver of the No. 87 D.A.B. Constructors, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the third-position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 at the Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 16. Nemechek started the 100-lap event from the 13th-place. At the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 20, Nemechek was scored 13th, and at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 40 he was 12th. Under the fifth caution of the nigh on Lap 65, Nemechek had maneuvered into the top-four. The red-flag waved on Lap 83 with Nemechek scored fourth, and with the final lap the Florida native was able to gain a spot to cross the finish line in the third-place, his third top-10 finish in four races at Daytona International Speedway.
