NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park … This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, facility. The organization posted a team best ninth-place finish at the track with driver John Hunter Nemechek on August 30, 2015. Two starts at the 10-turn, 2.459-mile road course have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 14.0 and an average finish of 17.0.

 

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 84 starts from five drivers, resulting in strong performances that include three victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago and Atlanta) and 17 top-five finishes, as well as 42 top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 14.0 and an average finishing position of 12.3.

 

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Connection … Ron Fellows, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park co-owner, has driven for team owner Joe Nemechek. In four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts for NEMCO Motorsports, Fellows posted the teams first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory (Watkins Glen) and two top-five finishes, as well as two top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 10.0 and an average finishing position of 10.0.

Fans can also visit the Chevy Race Day display located in the fan midway at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park for an autograph session with Nemechek on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (ET).

 

Catch the Action … The Chevrolet Silverado 250 will be broadcast live on FS1 on Sunday, September 04 starting with the pre-race show at 2:00 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 2:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. John Hunter Nemechek — No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado

 

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park … John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 038 in the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. This NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverado is new to the Gere Kennon-led team for the 2016 season.

 

 

On the Road … This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s third Canadian Tire Motorsport Park appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 14.0 and an average finishing position of 17.0 at the track.

 

Road Course Stats: In two combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on road courses, John Hunter Nemechek has recorded one top-10 finish. In addition, Nemechek has five starts on road courses, with entries at the Carolina Motorsports Park, and the Rockingham Raceway Park (Road Course), and the Watkins Glen International in the Allison Legacy Race Series, and the NASCAR K & N Pro Series East, respectively.

 

Race Rewind: Canadian Tire Motorsport Park … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 SWM-NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in ninth-place in the Chevrolet Silverado 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on August 30, 2015 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. Nemechek qualified in the 12th-postion for the 64-lap event. He was scored as high as sixth-place on Lap 30, and ultimately crossed the finish line in the ninth-place.

 

In the Rearview Mirror: Michigan International Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Business Machines Company (BMC) / Melling Performance Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the 26th-place in the Careers For Veterans 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, August 27 after a late-race accident eliminated him from contention. Nemechek started in the 16th-postion, and by Lap 10 he was scored in the seventh-place. The 19 year-old patiently logged laps until Lap 61, when a competitor made contact with Nemechek’s No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado, forcing it toward the wall and resulting in a blown tire. On Lap 63 Nemechek came to pit road going directly to the garage, but the damage ultimately ended Nemechek’s day.

 

Season-to-date … Through the first 14 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2016 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 2087 of 2176 laps contested (95.9 percent), has led 61 laps and is currently eighth in the driver point standings. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected one victory (Atlanta), one pole award (Iowa), has three top-five and seven top-10 finishes, has spent 1,601 laps running in the top 15 and has made 567 green-flag passes thus far this season.
